21.engineering's logo is based on the Moravian star often seen during the Christmas season. The star today is made from molded plastic to help the decoration withstand the weather when it is displayed during the winter months. Before the advance in materials, the pointed star was commonly made from paper by hand. Accuracy in design and craftsmanship was critical to ensure the pieces fit properly together. Cutting triangles, folding and gluing together the individual parts is simple enough but care is needed to ensure the star when finished showed symmetry. The care given to creating the Moravian Star is translated to the care given to the engineering practice at 21.engineering. The intent at 21.engineering is to have a project finish with quality craftsmanship, joined with the foundation of engineering analysis and decisions that work in conjunction to provide a high quality product.
